The Lassetter’s dressage yard is a family owned business headed up by John and Charlotte Lassetter supported by team members Daryl Ware, Julia Walker, Danielle Brown, Laura Goodridge and Wiz the dog.

John Lassetter

John Lassetter FABRS BHSI BITC trains riders of all levels as well as teaching at clinics and performing at lecture demonstrations around the world. He has helped numerous young riders up to Grand Prix level and to the Young Rider European Championships, including Sonia Webster, Carla Terrill and Otti Kawabe and he currently teaches Heidi Lyons at Grand Prix level in the US. Classically trained – including grounding at the Spanish Riding in Vienna – his theatrical personality combined with his extensive knowledge ensures both his audiences and students enjoy an unparalleled learning experience. Charlotte Lassetter

Charlotte Lassetter’s training style is complementary to John’s. Over the years she has ridden and competed up to Grand Prix and trained many horses to the top level. This vast experience is transferred through her training to riders from novice to Intermediare and those training towards Grand Prix. Charlotte’s recent high-profile successes include up and coming junior rider Olivia Oakeley and Cressy Clague Redding who was fourth at Burghley in 2006 - the highest placed British rider who is on the current world performance plan. Daryl Ware

Daryl Ware has worked at the Lassetter’s yard since 2003. He holds the British Dressage Apprenticeship qualification and regularly competes up to Intermediare II level, aiming for his first Grand Prix this season. In 2007 he has represented Great Britain three times internationally and is also involved in helping with training the horses.

Julia Walker

Julia Walker BHS PTT and holder of the British Dressage Apprenticeship qualification. She competes her own 4 year old Maatola as well as Joanna Von Schenk’s Andalusia Stallion, Illustrio. A member of the Lassetter team since 2004 Julia’s attention to detail and the turn out of her horses is second to none. Julia is currently working towards a degree in equine studies.

Danielle Brown

Danielle Brown is training for her British Dressage Apprenticeship qualification and has worked at the Lassetter’s yard since 2005. Known for her ‘bubbly personality’ on the yard, she regularly competes her own horse Lexus Star and was lucky enough to compete Natasha Wightman's Sapret in Young Riders early in 2007.

Wiz the dog

Laura Goodridge

Laura Goodridge has trained with Charlotte and John since she was fourteen. Having completed 'A' levels Laura joins the team in September and is currently searching for a horse for Young Riders.
